My KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America 2022 (Virtual) Experience

To begin with this was my first time attending KubeCon. Earlier I had no idea thing like KubeCon exists! 🤷‍♂️

I got to know about it through Kunal Kushwaha's videos on KubeCon North America 2022

You may wonder what is KubeCon + CloudNativeCon ? So, basically it's a flagship Kubernetes and CloudNative focussed conference which took place this time in Detroit. It was accessible IRL and Virtual. There would be lots of booths opened up by lots of companies which would showcase their solutions and keynotes on various topics related to Kubernetes. 🕸

As a beginner it was overwhelming to see so much of content that could be accessed virtually through the KubeCon portal. My GMT+5:30 meant most of the keynotes and solutions showcase would take place during the night time for me. 🌚

Most of the sessions that occurred during the office hours were unrecorded meaning you could only watch it live. That gave a sense of IRL kinda thing. 😃

I had attended sessions by Saiyam Pathak - Director of Technical Evangelism at Civo. 🦋

In this session he talked about GitOps. What amazing was he had to cover everything in 30 minutes and he did. ✅

We were also allowed to comment and ask questions to the speaker if any. 💬

Sessions were held live and that was quite exciting watching the speakers live straight from KubeConNA!! And I got to know if we were to attend it IRL we would also be getting free swags!! 👕

Last but not the least, we also had a special offers from sponsors tab where we could fill their survey or complete some task to get a chance to win some goodies or get huge discounts on their certifications. 🍕

So, overall it was a good experience. Got to learn alot from the speakers at KubeCon and companies who participated in it. Looking forward to the KubeCon 2023!! 🚀
